Women league launch as the branch rolls out its programs
Football Kenya federation Nakuru county branch will be launching their 2021 women branch league this Saturday 26th June 2021 at Afraha stadium.
The ceremony that is set to be presided over by FKF vice president madam Doris Petra who also doubles as women football committee chair, FKF NEC women rep Magret Omondi, Doreen Nabwire (head of women competitions) among other dignitaries will see a total of twelve teams battle for promotion slot to lower rift regional league come 2022.
Speaking to our news reporter through phone call, Nakuru county women rep madam Dorcas Moraa who also chairs the branch women committee, applauded the twelve teams for their courage to participate in the league. Moraa who is a former FIFA referee told fkfleagues.co.ke that her committee is focused on making Nakuru county women league the best in the country.
She called upon well-wishers, local, and international sponsors to come on board and support Nakuru county football at large. She was optimistic that soon more and more players from Nakuru will future in Harambee starlets National team.
Madam Calistus moraa who is a member of Nakuru county women football committee was happy to be among the individuals who have seen this dream come true.
Moraa who also doubles as team manager for women premier league side Nakuru queens thanked FKF Nakuru county executive for giving them a chance to serve women football.
On his part, FKF Nakuru county Chairman Francis Oliele revealed to our sports desk that women football is one of the programs shortlisted by his office as among the priorities. Oliele echoed his women rep sentiments that soon he expect a good number of women players from nakuru county women league to future in national women team.
