Nakuru County sets it's sight on getting back in the Kenya Premier League

The vibrant youth soccer, well organized women leagues, strong teams in regional, National Div2 and Div1 leagues, 56 football teams participating in Nakuru county league, a robust  subcounty league in all 11 subcounties, and our new franchise by the name of Nakuru County Elite Youth League , nay,  countless capacity building programs, are some of the measures and modalities that have been put in place by  FKF County Leadership to see Nakuru County reclaiming our lost glory on matters football for both genders.

Chairman Francis Oliele is optimistic that we will soon be having our  male and female teams playing at the Kenya Premier.

Ongoing works at Afraha Stadium to the tune of ksh.  650 million ,  Ksh 1.3 billion Keringet sports academy and the  completion of Gilgil stadium two stands  has added another feather to the possibility of the return of a Premier league team(s) in Nakuru county.

Speaking to our news desk, FKF Nakuru county Chair Francis Oliele said Nakuru county has done all that is required to establish vibrant youth soccer centres, women and men football and it was time the county reclaimed it's past glory in the sport. Nakuru City Queens FC is the only women football team in the premier League from Nakuru county.

"It's all system go in Nakuru and our eyes are now set on the "tittle premier" and want to thank the role the flower farms, hotels, individual sponsors, well wishers amongst others  for the support and sponsorship they're giving to several clubs in various tiers," said Oliele flanked by all FKF officials in the branch.
